Plastic enhancements aside, I still vote for Nip/Tuck as the most groundbreaking national manifestation of our obsession to be physical. That confusing to you? Take that as a hint on this hit TV show's Season 4 episodes. Guests will come and go, and although I don't follow the episodes strictly as I do my nightly regimen of drinking black coffee, I still find the new cast a little far out. Why not? If you got 'em Brooke Shields, Rosie O' Donnell, Peter Dinklage, and Catherine Deneuve in the list, what more could you ask!
Friday, May 4. 2007
You don't want to know what's going to happen. But oops, my lips aren't sealed so here goes the story: Catherine Deneuve, the French diva, will perform the part of the widow who gets her breasts enhanced! (Hey, that's not the story). Duh? So what is so unusual about this? Her character will insist to the doctor to instill the ashes in the silicone so her husband
would eternally be near her bosom! Take that as the New Age of Literalism.

Peter Dinklage plays the baby's night nurse role when he was the former Station Agent, and Rosie O' Donnell has been keeping things under wraps as to what scene she will be guesting on. Brooke Shields will be the mad scientist -- er, psychiatrist, who is secretly burning for her patient Dr Troy. Apparently she is an obssessed nymphomaniac herself and Christian is sensing he may not be the bachelor that he really is (talk about identity crisis. I thought we're only going to be physical here!). But hey, it's Nip/Tuck, so don't wonder anymore.

Just when the story is all fired up, that was where Mischa Barton's character, Marissa Cooper, in the Fox series "The OC" was killed. The series ended it's third season with a twist: Marissa got killed in a car accident just right after their high school graduation. Call that tragic, but the untimely farewell of Barton in the show prompted everyone to wonder why when she plays a very important role in the story. There were rumors that Barton was all set to resign from her OC character.
The car accident happened when her boyfriend Ryan drove her to the airport in his brand new Land Cruiser, a gift from his parents. Marissa was set for a trip to Greece to work for his father's yacht. While on the road, the two came across a drunken Volchok. Ryan lost control of his driving and crashes, leaving the car in flames. He managed to pull Marissa from the wrecked car but it was too late.
Barton who is now 20 has a line of movies which are set to film next year. Before playing her now defunct role, Barton has graced several films like in the horror movie The Sixth Sense and the series "Once and Again."

Emmy-nominated actress Jennifer Garner bids farewell to the spy drama Alias as she shoots for its final eight episodes. The series will air its finale episode this May which means goodbye to Sydney Bristow, Garner's character in the series. There were speculations regarding the reason why the show has to end.
Some say it's because of Garner's pregnancy which made it difficult for the writers to manipulate the series' plot, while others blame the disappointing audience reactions. Garner admitted that she had an emotional time filming the last episodes of the series which catapulted her to super stardom. But she said the final episodes will be full of shocking revelations and exciting scenes.
Garner gave birth to a baby girl last December with Daredevil co-star husband Ben Affleck. The actress seems to be very happy with her new role as a mother to a cute baby girl they named Violet.- As of the moment, Garner is taking a break from her busy schedule as she waits for the release of her upcoming movie Catch and Release which will be out in several movie theaters next January.

Tucker chose the song "Because of You" by Kelly Clarkson to sing last week with the theme "Songs from the 21st Century". The young lady bade farewell to her audience and told her fans that she has no regrets for choosing the song.
Tucker, a sixteen year old high school student and a native of Anaheim, California told the press that she was very lucky to even land a spot in the top 10. For making it that far, she will join the American Idol tour this summer and will also be a part of the group album.
Joining the American Idol was one of the highlights of the young girl's life. She said that the first day she saw the three judges at the Denver auditions was an exhilarating thing for her. Simon Cowell even commented on her performance saying that she was one of the best singers who auditioned on the show. But the girl’s recent farewell proved that there were more good things in stored for her in the future. Who knows, she might just be the next Janet Jackson or Beyonce Knowles.

The long-running hit TV show "Today" will soon be missing its co-host Katie Couric, who has finally made up her mind to change network from NBC to CBS. Couric announced on national TV that she is leaving the show by the end of May after much deep thinking. Although no decision from CBS' big bosses was yet announced as to who will replace Couric as co-host.
However, there were talks that Meredith Vieira, "The View" co-host shall move in to co-host "Today" with Ann Curry and Matt Lauer. Couric's network switch will mark an important date in TV history because she will be the first woman to ever anchor her own news program.
Couric's climb to TV news stardom began in 1979 when she entered ABC as a desk assistant. She also worked for CNN as an assignment editor. Her big break came when she decided to join NBC news as a Pentagon correspondent. Eventually, she landed a spot as a co-host in "Today" in 1991 and helped bring back the show in the ratings as number one. I have something to confess. I am an addict – a reality TV show addict that is. This addiction came just pretty recently when I surfed channels on the TV one night. I came across this new show called "The Beauty and the Geek" on WB and it easily caught my attention.
The story begins when seven equally attractive single women and seven intelligent men are thrown together in one big house to learn from each other exchanging expertise on dating, fashion, math, science, and history. This social experiment was the brainchild of matinee star Ashton Kutcher. The show can get you easily glued in front of the TV set because it is a total genius. I can’t believe that people who are totally opposite with each other in everything can get along pretty well and interact to teach each other on ways to grow as individuals. The geeks are all characters. They act differently in front of beautiful women but still retain their geekiness.
Everyone was just having fun. The geeks were taught by the girls how to dress in fashion, tips on dating, and even the latest about Britney Spears. While the geeks showed the girls how to build a rocket, taught them about American history, etc. In the end, only one couple will survive the tests to be called "The Beauty and The Geek."

Call it cheesy, but my family and I, whenever we get together, we watch Jeopardy. I don't know about this show but it just brings us together. What's great is that even when were having pizza and beer, we still try to answer the questions -- half drunk. Jeopardy just seems to entice our mind and feed its need for intellectual food and challenge. My family really loves arguing and talking about teams. When we're not talking like debate teams vying for the championship, we're like IQ tests that somehow adds more trivial notes in your head.
We sound boring, don't we? Don't worry, we joke around too. That is why we feel that the game show Jeopardy is the show for us, especially with Alex Trebeck and the contestant's funny anecdotes. Created by Merv Griffin, Jeopardy has two rounds and a few specials. It is also very exciting when the person you root for move in to the finals. This show has been on the television airwaves since September 1984.
I believe that it's going to stay in our homes for a long time -- as long as there are questions, there's Jeopardy!

I am really into anything forensic. I remember that as a teenager, I always looked forward to watching the Discovery Channel's crime night. I found it very intriguing and exciting to watch how the crimes were done and how it was solved. What's more, I enjoyed the fact that they are all real stories. The fear that it might happen to me, heightened my addiction to this show.
During the advent of the very first CSI, when Grissom and Willows still were unknowns, I found that this show also gave the excitement found when I watch the Discovery Channel shows. Then the CSI: Miami and CSI: New York came, now I had something to watch every night and it pleased me. No longer do I have to suffer annoying talk shows. CSI is certainly one of my favorite TV shows nowadays. I can't seem to get enough of the plot and the "stranger than fiction" approach to crime solutions. The stories are now more exciting and interesting to watch.
I remember that it's the only thing my ex-lover and I had in common. I wonder if he still watches it. With or without him, I sure am going to watch it for a long time.

Oprah quoted Chris Rock as the funniest person she knows. "Chris Rock is so funny. He has to be really smart to be that funny. I don't know why some people don't like him" Oprah added.
Aside from being an award-winning comedian, Chris Rock is also known as the brains behind the newest comedy series on TV entitled "Everybody Hates Chris". When asked about the title, Rock jokingly answered that it was something he thought of since Ray Romano's Everybody Loves Raymond was going to end its series.
"Everybody Hates Chris" is about the life of Chris Rock as a kid. His father, Julius, acted by Terry Crews, worked two shifts and Tyler James Williams, who acts as Chris, had to make sure there wouldn't be any noise to wake him up, otherwise his dad will get cranky. His mother, Rochelle, acted by Tichina Arnold is the typical black-American mom who disciplines and loves her children. Chris, in this movie, has two siblings namely Greg and Tanya, acted by Vincent Martella and Imani Hakim, respectively, which he tries to protect and control.
Watch as Chris run away from bullies or ran after buses. Laugh your evenings with this Chris Rock-inspired sitcom.

Television is still the most popular kind of entertainment today because of its accessibility. Many people are watching television to relax and forget the burdens of life temporarily. There are shows for adults, teens and children. There are drama, talk and variety shows, cartoons and news programs that cater to particular audiences. Most viewers have their own favorite shows and their days would not be complete if they do not watch those shows. It is already a part of their everyday life.
One of the most viewed television shows in the whole world is American Idol. This show gives those aspiring singers the opportunity to fulfill their dreams and enter the entertainment world. Many products of this show has already established their names in the music industry.
For the children, there are animated programs and cartoons. One of the most popular children shows is Sesame Street. This show is entertaining at the same time educational for there is a part of it that teaches the children the children to count and recite the alphabet.
Whatever your preference is, just name it and the tv has it.

I have always watched "The Family Guy", it's such a relief to watch something on high definition television that isn't about broken-up celebrities or serious, boring over-rated drama series. The Family Guy is set in Rhode Island, with this middle-class family, experiencing the typical American-family problems.
Sometimes, crazy things happen to them, well, all the time actually because it's a cartoon animation! Just like Homer from the Simpsons, they have a silly family guy. But here, there's a genius but really cynical baby, a funny mom, two naive teenage daughter and son, and a quirky household, and a really funny pet dog, that I'm sure everyone would enjoy watching!

One of the freshest and hottest series on TV today is 24. Keifer Sutherland plays Jack Bauer, a counter-terrorist agent. From foiling an attempted assassination of a senator to preventing a nuclear holocaust, Bauer's day is one filled with action.
The series is not only action-filled but contains numerous shockers as well keeping the audiences guessing who's the real good guy and who's out to get Bauer. A recurring, and innovative, theme in the series is that all the events in the show happens one day, each episode is divided in to hours. 24 is now in it's fifth season.

I have been watching "The Simpsons" since forever! And it's been one of the longest-running animation show on television. Who doesn't love Homer's do-oh or Mr. Burns' sinister character or Marge's odd blue hair?
The Simpsons family is actually a faux pas of the typical American family. James L. Brooks and Matt Groening are behind this genius idea. They have been awarded with three Academy wins and 12 Emmy wins! I think it's a show that would last for a very long time. I bet there are a million others who are just like me, die-hard do-oh fans!

This coming month of February, Survivor will be making its twelfth appearance with a bang on primetime television. Yeah, we know they have been to Panama before, but this time, Survivor will be surprising its fans with the exile twist. This means that every week, one of the sixteen castaways, who are divided in groups of four, get to have the chance to be isolated from the rest of the gang and be forced to survive on his or her own.
Imagine, having to deal with snakes, sharks, and other jungle inhabitants with very little supplies and no fire for a day or more! The good thing is, somewhere on that island, immunity is concealed and the exiled individual could use the idol to "outplay, outwit, and outlast" further in the game. Sounds exciting, right?

Desperate Housewives is now the hottest show on TV, after Friends and Sex and the City have ended. Everyone watches Desperate Housewives (even my dad!), it has all the characters of the typical suburban wives, what's so interesting about it, is that they all seem so "stepford," but when you step into their lives, you'll be surprised how crazy they can all be. The show is also an eye-opener on what women's roles are really all about. It's really a truthful, modern, entertaining show about women, families, friendships, and relationships.
